Of Pizzas and Pajamas

Haha. What a silly entry title.

Ahhhhhh... after a good four hours of pizzeria work, it feels so good to be able to sit/lie down for a bit. My back is so sore.

(In case you didn't know already, Casa puts on two pizzerias per quarter, where anybody can come and have fresh oven-baked pizza for $8. You can have whatever you want on your pizza -- tomatoes, olives, mushrooms, bell peppers, cheese, oregano, other spices, and probably some other toppings I forgot. And this isn't some shoddy pizza by the slice thing: you get a complete, round, personal pizza. They're a bit bigger than the size of a regular dining hall plate, so it's definitely filling. Not only that, but you also get as much water, various juices, soda, or wine as you can drink, a small salad with your choice of dressing, and dessert. It's very yummy if you live at one of those dorms that don't have weekend meals.)

Anyway, I was working the ovens, and despite the fact that I was kind of mangling some of the pizzas (because the STUPID tin foil kept getting in the way), it seemed to go alright. We did have a HUGE number of people come tonight, though, and we just barely didn't run out of pizza dough and pepperoni toppings (we had like 2 or 3 pizzas leftover at the end, with no more dough left). So yeah, we all had to work about an hour and a half longer than expected because the pizzas got REALLY backed up: some of them were an hour late or so. It's fun working the ovens as long as it goes relatively smoothly. Next pizzeria this quarter, though, I don't have to work a shift, so I can enjoy myself at one of the tables instead.

After all that hard work, I came up to my (recently cleaned) room, and I'm about ready to go to bed. However, tonight, my parents brought over two pairs of pajamas that my gramma from Italy gave me (since my mom just came back from a courier trip to Italy), and they're *SO* nice. This one pair is all silk (like my other silver silk pajamas), and they're so nice to wear. They're a bit big, though, so I've had to roll up the sleeves and the pant legs, but whatever; that's cool with me. I just like silk pajamas. :)

And now I'm going to get a really good night's rest after all that work. 'night!
