Sleep (or lack of it)

Why do I do this to myself?

Zzzzzzz... *snork* Huh, wha? Did you say something? Oh. Nevermind. I'm supposed to be doing the talking here.

Yeah, so. Weblogging.... blogging. Blog... ing. *rocks on tippy-toes* Blooog.... (it's bloog, it's bloog, it's big, it's heavy, it's wood!)... oh, right! Sleep. Right. That's what I was going to talk about. Sleep. Right. Sleep. Sleeep. Slee... eep. *thinks*... (neverending so-oda..... uh-oh-uh uh-oh-uh... so sue me if I can't express that in writing very well -- if you don't understand the reference, see sbemail 78) Sleep... pleese! (Yes I know it's spelled wrong. Sheesh. That's so annoying when you do that!)

Anyway, yeah. Sleep. You can see what kind of weird mood I'm in today. I got five hours of sleep last night, and I was really only supposed to get four, but stupid me decided to unconsciously sleep in an extra hour, making me miss my GES 80 lecture. Oh, well, I suppose it doesn't hurt. The worst thing about it, though, is that I really didn't need to stay up until 4 AM last night. I just started procrastinating on my 2-3 page paper that I had to do for GES 80 (basically a summary of the rock history of our field trip), and then I went downstairs and started watching a movie. After that I started downloading some games from a contest, but most of them were pretty lame, and I was playing them anyway. There are some pretty cool/fun ones, like Chopper, Primate Plunge, and Tower of Tears. Be forewarned, though, Tower of Tears is really creepy, especially when you start to go "insane", as the read me says. So it got to be 3 AM and only THEN did I start working on my paper. Why do I do this to myself?!

The real problem, though, is that because of the GES 4 trip, I haven't been getting much sleep in the past two weeks... I've probably been averaging around 5.5 to 6 hours, and it's finally catching up to me. Wednesday night I got 10 hours of sleep, and I still felt tired during the day. Needless to say, that's not good at all.

So hopefully I'll be able to get perhaps even more than 10 hours of sleep tonight. That would seriously be cool. Note to self: under NO circumstances shall you stay up past midnight anytime this weekend. (Ha, fat chance.)

Also, a random note: apparently Vertical Horizon released an album this year, and it's very good, I must say. I particularly like Echo and Goodbye Again. If you can spare the $10, I suggest you buy it. :) I've also added a "Purchased Albums/Songs" section to the sidebar, so you can see other songs/albums that I like.
