Apple Bug Friday Review I
Tuesday, 2005-11-01; 21:18:00
Well it isn't Friday, but since Mac OS X 10.4.3 came out yesterday, I figure this is as good a time as any to go over the 12 bugs that I've noted on here, as well as four others that I just mentioned in passing. (In case you were wondering, Mac OS X 10.4.3 also has some security updates included with it, too.)
Here's all the information you need:
Oof, just doing that for my 12+4 pet bugs is a bit time-consuming. Anyway, any bugs that are marked as genuinely fixed (i.e.: no uncertainty, marked with the darker shade of green) here will hereby be retired from further Apple Bug Friday Reviews. If it isn't fixed, is only partially improved, or only might be fixed, the bug will be carried on to the next Apple Bug Friday Review.
I'm also contemplating resubmitting all closed bugs that still exist in Mac OS X 10.4.3 as new bugs, since it would be good to get my pet bugs back into the system, just in case. And if anyone makes the ridiculous statement that Apple is going to quash every known bug with a subsequent update or has already done so with Mac OS X 10.4.3, please point them to my table. :)
(Oh, and in case you didn't notice.... THIS entry is a case when you should use HTML tables. ;) )
Here's all the information you need:

VII | 4293074 | Many items on desktop causes high CPU usage | appears fixed | still open |

XII | 4322243 | white lines through feeds in Safari | not fixed | still open |
- | 4145625 | CD/DVD burning creates coaster when other intensive tasks are running | appears fixed, although I'm doubting whether this is a bug or just a one-time hardware failure | closed |
- | 4145629 | Command-Tab switcher does not honor keyboard layout | not fixed, ARG THIS IS SO ANNOYING and has been a problem since the inception of Mac OS X, even when Command-Tab used the Dock | closed, marked as duplicate |
- | 4145635 | Disk usage and number of enclosed items should be stored as metadata so that accessing this information is immediate in Get Info windows | not fixed | closed |
